The purpose of this specification is to define Iarnród Éireann’s requirements for Passenger Information Displays (PID’s) for use at various locations nationally. These Displays will inform the Customer of Train Information, Disruption to services and general Information
The displays will all conform the following standards
• Technical Standards for Interoperability (TSI)
• Dual Language
• Visually Impaired
• Iarnród Éireann internal documents
Additionally, the Displays will have to conform to existing Infrastructure restrictions, such as Sign Size due to existing systems such as Driver Operated CCTV and Platform Pole Mounting requirements.
All displays will be made by the same manufacturer, all software and control elements such as servers and pcs will be supplied by the same. Operator control software may be sourced by a third party but the vendor will be responsible for the delivery of this software and the upkeep of this software for the duration of this tender.
