Description of the procurement

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking to implement a digital track and trigger tool for the Irish National Early Warning System (INEWSv2) for the National Acute Hospitals Directorate of the Health Service Executive, to assist with the management of high acuity patients during the winter season and in case of any future surge during the Covid pandemic. The HSE invites tenders from suitably qualified suppliers for the supply, modification (if necessary), installation, integration, implementation, and on-going support of a Digital Track and Trigger Tool for the National Acute Hospitals Directorate of the HSE. The Digital INEWSv2 track and trigger tool will facilitate data capture of advanced oxygen therapy for Covid and non-Covid patients. This will allow for daily, weekly, or monthly hospital and National reports on advanced oxygenation support utilisation to be generated from the point of care. The scope of the project initially extends to the provision a track and trigger tool in a single ward in 19 of the Critical Care Hospitals in Ireland. Due to the urgency of the situation the solution must currently exist and be capable of immediate implementation. It is the intention of the HSE to return to the market to procure a national system during the lifetime of this award.
