Description of the procurement

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council wishes to invite tenders from parties
interested in the management and operation of the Council’s Civic Waste Facility
at the Ballyogan Recycling Park Road, Carrickmines, Dublin 18. The prime
purpose of the contract is to provide households with additional waste recycling
and recovery opportunities. The Contractor will also make full provision for the
supply of the required waste handling equipment, repairs, replacement and
maintenance of the equipment and the infrastructure included on site. The site is
subject to a Waste Licence granted by the Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) and the successful tenderer will be required to operate the facility strictly in
accordance with the terms of this Licence. Materials currently accepted include,
but are not limited to, paper, cardboard, ferrous material, aluminium, oils, glass,
textiles, batteries, plastics, plasterboard, household waste (including bulky items
and C&D), household hazardous waste, waste electrical equipment and green
waste.
