Short description

Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin is seeking to appoint a Main Works Contractor to deliver the Trinity East: Early Activation Innovation Hub project. The project proposes the adaptation and refurbishment of No.4 Grand Canal Quay and the two adjacent smaller buildings, together with the refurbishment of the ground floor of the adjacent tower (No.5 Grand Canal Quay) which is a protected structure. The two buildings are to be connected by an external covered walkway, which also divides the external spaces between the two into two courtyards. It is also proposed to connect, on the southern side to, 3 Grand Canal Quay.

Description of the procurement

Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin is seeking to appoint a Main Works Contractor to deliver the Trinity East: Early Activation Innovation Hub project. The project proposes the adaptation and refurbishment of No.4 Grand Canal Quay and the two adjacent smaller buildings, together with the refurbishment of the ground floor of the adjacent tower (No.5 Grand Canal Quay) which is a protected structure. The project envisages a new facility which will be home to new start-up businesses and entrepreneurs working in technology based projects to come together which will create a place for innovation and cross fertilisation of ideas. The project will also create a public facing café and beside this, exhibition and small-scale conference facilities which can create an interface between these new businesses and ideas with the wider world.
