The SFPA wishes to enter into a service contract to review, identify, assess and recommend available technical REM solutions, to enable the authority to independently verify catch weights and vessel activity (as recorded in the logbook), for a specified vessel segmentation, to support the overall aim of enhancing the SFPA’s capability to measure compliance with the landing obligation. The SFPA expects that this may lead to a separate competition for services for a potential future Phase 2 Pilot Study to pilot and test solution(s) arising from this phase.
