This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) for the procurement of fixed and friction type buffer stops.
IÉ invites applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the pre-qualification process for the proposed tender for the supply and delivery of fixed and friction type buffer stops.
A copy of IE's technical specification for friction and fixed type buffer stops is attached to this notice along with a check list of what must be submitted with all Pre-Qualification applications.

Description of the procurement

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) for the procurement of fixed and friction type buffer stops.
IÉ invites applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the pre-qualification process for the proposed tender for the supply and delivery of fixed and friction type buffer stops.
It is IÉ's policy to provide a friction or fixed buffer stops at the termination of every passenger running line, including bay platform lines and on freight lines and sidings where deemed necessary.
A copy of IE's technical specification for friction and fixed type buffer stops is attached to this notice along with a check list of what must be submitted with all Pre-Qualification applications.
The contract will also include:
• The supply of specific buffer stop replacement parts.
• Supply of non-standard friction or fixed buffer stop variants i.e. designed to suit curvature, hydraulic buffers, etc.
• Technical assistance & support on an ad-hoc basis.
