Description of the procurement

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board WWETB) (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the appointment to a Multi Supplier Framework Agreement for the Provision of Electrical Consumables in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Supplies”).
This public procurement competition relates to the establishment of a Multi- Party Framework ("Framework") for the Provision of Electrical Consumables primarily in the WWETB Training Centres. There may also be a requirement to purchase electrical consumables for electrical courses in the NZEB and FABLAB centres. WWETB run seven Electrical Phase 2 Courses on a 2 cycle basis per year, five in Waterford Training Centre and two in the Wexford Training Centre.
Electrical consumable materials used in domestic and light industrial installations which will be used to train Electrical Apprentices in WWETB training centres as part of the Phase 2 of the Standards Based Apprenticeship.
It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to establish a Multi-Supplier Framework from which call-off contracts by ‘request for quotes’ will be run by the training centres as requirements arise over the lifetime of the Framework.
Indeed, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to operate outside of the framework agreement at its discretion, particularly should it become apparent that doing so would offer greater value for money. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the framework agreement approach has been adopted to leverage efficiencies and maximise cost savings over the duration of the framework.
