Provision of appropriately qualified and trained Academic Personal Assistants to assist students with mobility around the campus, educational or physical tasks (i.e. photocopying, notetaking, carrying personal belongings) and some personal care needs that the student cannot complete independently.

Provision of an Irish Sign Language Interpretation Service for Deaf students at the University. The interpretation service will facilitate students to access the teaching and learning environment at the University and will support, as much as is possible, the student’s full participation in college life.

Description of the procurement

Provision of a psychology-led academic support programme for students with significant learning needs. The programme will predominantly work with students with ADD/ ADHD, students on the autistic spectrum and students with a mental health condition. Support provided will include a full assessment of need, caseload management and coordination of support, and delivery of a tailored programme of academic support for students registered with the programme. Essential requirements for the delivery of this programme will be a background and expertise in the area of mental health.
The programme will be delivered on-site in the Disability Office at Maynooth University. It is anticipated that two Assistant Psychologists will be required to deliver the programme. Support will be provided from 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday. Some flexibility will be required outside these hours. Support will be provided five days per week for the full academic year (September-June). Some support will be required in July and August although exact arrangements have yet to be confirmed.
Duties: Tenderers must be able to supply one to two suitably qualified persons to provide a psychology-led academic support programme for students with significant learning needs registered with the Disability Office at Maynooth University. They will work with students with disabilities and staff in the Disability Office to support the transition, retention and progression of students supported through the programme

7) At its absolute discretion, the contracting authority may elect to terminate this procurement process, the framework agreement or any contract awarded under the framework agreement at any time.
8) Without prejudice to the principle of equal treatment, the contracting authority is not obliged to engage in a clarification process in respect of tender responses with missing or incomplete information. Therefore, tenderers are advised to ensure that they return fully completed tender responses in order to avoid the risk of elimination from the competition.
