The Contracting Authority intends to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced economic operator to replace fourteen existing ten year old fire suppression systems with up to date Aerosol systems at various locations within the Hospital. The systems shall be designed, installed, commissioned and certified by the successful tenderer in accordance with ISEN15276-2:2019 part 2, Design, Installation and maintenance.

Description of the procurement

Following the expiry of a warranty period of twelve months’ duration, a support and maintenance contract of four years’ duration will be awarded. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award subsequent contracts governing the support and maintenance of the fire suppression systems, each of twelve months in duration, until the obsolescence of the systems

Justification:  
In accordance with Article 27.3 of Directive 2014/24/EU, the Contracting Authority is availing of shortened timescales in respect of this competition. The urgency associated with this requirement arises from the fact that the required equipment will be used in an acute hospital setting. On grounds of patient care, time is of the essence in respect of this competition.
