Short description

This procurement competition is intended to appoint a small panel of ATEX Contractors to complete a range of ATEX work across all Generating Stations, the total number will depend on the quality of tenders received. The Framework will comprise a 2 year term, with the option, at the Contracting Entity’s own discretion, to extend up to a maximum of a further one year in the following stations.

Description of the procurement

ESB Generation and Trading (ESB G&T) is part of the ESB Group (ESB) and is responsible for the operation, maintenance (including overhauls) and management of multiple electricity generating stations in Ireland and Northern Ireland. As a result of a recent Atex review across the portfolio, a number of non-conformances have been identified which requires corrective action. As a result an Atex Repairs Framework Agreement is required.
The ESB Stations to be covered by this Framework Agreement are as follows;
ESB Thermal power stations:

1. This is the sole Call for Competition for this service
2. The Contracting Entity will not be responsible for any costs charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers.
3. 5. It is ESBs intention to shortlist suitable candidates.
6. The negotiated procedure will be used, however, the contracting entity retains the option to accept initial bids without further negotiations.

Award to Runner Up - If for any reason it is not possible to conclude the contract with the designated successful tenderer(s) emerging from this competitive process, ESB reserves the right to award the contract to the next highest scoring tenderer on the basis of the terms advertised. This shall be without prejudice to the right of ESB to cancel this competitive process and/or initiate a new contract award procedure at its sole discretion.
