Myeloma and Immunodeficiency protein measurement service
The myeloma and immunodeficiency protein measurement service at the Immunology Department, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology (LabMed) St. James’s Hospital has provided an in-house and national service since the 1980s. Currently the service offers the following assays for diagnostics and predictive testing:
• Free kappa (FKC) and Free lambda (FLC) measurement Test numbers for 2018 - 8,056 FKC and 8,056 FLC
• IgG subclass (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4) measurement Test numbers for 2018 – IgG1 = 505, IgG2 = 505, IgG3 = 505, IgG4 = 522
• C1 inactivator measurement Test numbers for 2018 – C1Inhibitor = 251
