In the first instance, a managed equipment service contract of five years’ duration will be entered into with the successful tenderer, encompassing the provision of an ENT electromagnetic (EM) navigation system, other associated equipment, the provision of associated consumables and the provision of all related support. Following the expiry of the initial five year managed equipment service contract, and as a recurring option that may be availed of solely at the discretion of the Contracting Authority, subsequent one-year contracts for the support and maintenance of the system in question and the procurement of any necessary consumables may be awarded until the obsolescence of the equipment.

Description of the procurement

In the first instance, a managed equipment service contract of five years’ duration will be entered into with the successful tenderer, encompassing the provision of an ENT electromagnetic (EM) navigation system, other associated equipment, the provision of associated consumables and the provision of all related support. At all points during the five year term of the managed equipment service contract, ownership of the equipment in question will remain with the successful tenderer, who will provide the equipment in question to the Contracting Authority for the purpose of allowing its use in a clinical context. The successful tenderer will be reimbursed through the provision of an annual service charge, payable in twelve equal monthly invoices.
Following the expiry of the initial five year managed equipment service contract, and as a recurring option that may be availed of solely at the discretion of the Contracting Authority, subsequent one-year contracts for the support and maintenance of the system in question and the procurement of any necessary consumables may be awarded until the obsolescence of the equipment.
