Description of the procurement

Advanced Driver Training. Bus Eireann has a requirement from time to time for training of personnel in advanced driving techniques, to include eco-driving and defensive driving. This could include class room based training and practical driving. Instructor must be and RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and in addition instructors must be members of, or accredited by the Institute of Advanced Motorists, or equivalent. Instructors should have a comprehensive knowledge of PSV safety systems. Relevant Certificates of Qualification should be submitted with PQQ submissions. It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to award this Lot to one supplier

Description of the procurement

Driver Training – Category D. Bus Eireann may have a requirement to train drivers in the coming months on Category D vehicles. Training will be conducted in line with RSA training procedures and policy. Instructors must be registered RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). Instructors must have experience with large bus companies. Instruction may be carried out on service provider’s vehicles and/or Bus Eireann vehicles and evidence of appropriate insurance levels will be required. Relevant Certificates of Qualification should be submitted with PQQ submissions.

Forklift Training. Bus Eireann has a requirement for the following training and education:
i. Forklift Operator training that includes the various sized forklift and counter balance vehicles in use in Bus Eireann locations throughout the country. Training will be for novice, experienced and refresher training for operators. It will also include certification of operators. All training must comply with Irish Health & Safety Authority’s Code of Practice for Operators of Rider Operated Lift Trucks. Must be RTITB, IIPMM or FAS registered training establishment.
ii. Forklift Instructors Courses.
It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to award this Lot to one supplier.
