Tenders are invited for the provision of the following services to the satisfaction of Clare County Council for a period of 2 years with 2 possible 12 month extensions:
PROVISION OF DOG WARDEN SERVICES FOR COUNTY CLARE AND THE OPERATION OF THE EXISTING DOG SHELTER AT ENNIS, CO. CLARE.
The main governing legislation for the management of Dog Control Services is:
- Control of Dogs Act 1986
- Control of Dogs Amendment Act 1992
- Control of Dogs (Restriction of Certain Dogs) Regulations 1991
- Control of Dogs Regulations 1998
- Dog Breeding Establishments Act 2010
- Control of Dogs (Amendment Regulations) 2013
- Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013
- Microchipping of Dog Regulations 2015 (as amended)
The successful Tenderer will be appointed by Clare County Council as Authorised Officer for the carrying out of any aspects of the above legislation associated with the management of the Dog Shelter and any future relevant applicable and relevant legislation.
