Short description
Iarnród Éireann proposes to pre-qualify a number of suitably qualified candidates to participate in the tender process for the Supply and Delivery of Washed Ballast throughout its rail network.
The Contract the subject of this competition is a Multi Company Framework Agreement valid for three years, with an option to extend by one additional year at IE’s discretion.
A Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and current Ballast Specification are both attached with this notice and available to download.
Under the proposed Framework Agreement, requirements will be mini tendered to all suppliers who meet the pre-qualification criteria.
There will be an on-going requirement for suppliers to meet quality compliance, by way of continuous testing, as detailed within the specification.
Divisional requirements and stock pile locations will be tendered on an annual basis. Specific project requirements and ad-hoc divisional requirements will be subject to mini tender competitions.

The five main stockpile locations in the IE network
are ;
North Wall, Dublin 1.
Mallow, Co. Cork
Charleville, Co. Cork
Lisduff, Co. Laois.
Portarlington, Co. Laois.
All would be delivered using artic trucks.
