Description of the procurement

Institute of Technology Carlow (the "Contracting Authority") wish to appoint a Civil Engineer led design team for the proposed development of a Sports Campus and associated facilities at Mortarstown Upper, Kilkenny Road, Carlow.
The proposed development includes the following:
PHASE 1
- 1 x grass GAA pitch
- 1 x all weather GAA pitch
- 2 x grass rugby pitches
- 2 x grass soccer pitches
- circa 195 carparking spaces
- associated site works and landscaping
PHASE 2
- Changing rooms and viewing stand
- 400m synthetic running track
- circa 114 carparking spaces
The following design team services are required:
- Civil & Structural Engineer
- Sports Pitch Design Specialist
- PSDP
- Mechanical & Electrical Engineer
- Architectural Services
- Quantity Surveyor
- Landscape Architect
The Design Team services for both phases will be procured as part of this procurement process.
The Contracting Authority requests cumulative design team responses to this SAQ, i.e. a single response to this Suitability Assessment Questionnaire to be submitted by each design team leader. Whilst the successful design team will be assembled and led by the Civil Engineer, each of the Principal Service Providers will be engaged by the Contracting Authority via individual and separate Conditions of Engagement.
It is noted that Stage 2A (develop sketch scheme design stage) has been completed for the project and that planning permission has been granted by the local authority (Carlow County Council planning ref 15/324) for the Phase 1 works.
Design Team services are required from commencement from Stage 2B through to completion of Stage 5.
