      Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

      This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of suitably qualified

      companies to a long term framework agreement for roofing and canopy repair

      works at railway stations and associated buildings throughout the Iarnród

      Éireann-Irish Rail network (the “Framework”).

      The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location.

      Project works shall be awarded in separate packages based on the “Call Off” set

      out in the Framework Agreement.

      It is anticipated that the value of Individual Works Packages awarded under this

      Framework Agreement will not exceed €500,000 (excluding VAT).

      There is no undertaking given by IE that all works outlined above will be tendered

      under this Framework Agreement.

      IE may at its discretion and where considered appropriate use alternative

      procurement options for such works

      Tender enquiry documents will be issued to Contractors who have been

      appointed to the Framework Agreement on an ad-hoc basis.

      Returned tenders will be evaluated on the basis of the most economically

      advantageous tender received.

      The project works values up to €500,000 will include but are not limited to any of

      the following:

      • Small/medium roof remedial repair works , including building listed as

      Protected Structures under Planning Legislation

      • Roof recovering/partial recovering works , including buildings listed as

      Protected Structures under Planning Legislation

      • Installation of safety netting and edge protection

      Pre Qualification Questionnaire attached to this notice and must be completed

      and returned as directed.
