    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    The Institute of Technology Tralee seeks applications from interested Works Contractors for the construction of a Sports Academy incorporating the National Adapted Physical Activity Centre at the Institute of Technology Tralee.

    It is estimated that this project will take approximately 15 months to complete. The Works Contractor will be also required to nominate the

    following specialist contractors:

    1. Mechanical Services Specialist

    2. Electrical Services Specialist

    3. Pool Specialist

    4. Glazing Specialist

    5. Roofing Specialist

    6. Flooring Specialist

    7. Lift Specialist

    8. Automatic Doors Specialist

    The building will comprise of a two storey building (8590 SqM) (One stairway three

    storey) including a sports hall (1950 SqM), hydrotherapy pool, changing rooms, gyms, teaching facilities including a lecture theatre, support offices, storage

    areas, dance and aerobics areas, toilets, plant rooms, Gaelic Athletic Association

    (GAA) High Performance Unit, Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (CCE) performance space and support areas, solar panels and associated areas

    including parking, landscaping and drainage at its North Campus.

    The project will include ancillary site works.

    The Contracting Authority reserves the right to use the new form of Government Contracts should same become available during this tender process.
