    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    Kildare County Council plans to carry out public realm improvement schemes in a

    number of towns throughout County Kildare over the coming years. In order to

    assist Kildare County Council with the design and delivery of these schemes, it is

    proposed to establish a Framework Agreement for Urban Design Team

    Consultants. The Framework Agreement will be established for a four year period.

    Kildare County Council will draw down services from this Framework Agreement

    as and when required.

    Kildare County Council is currently developing proposals for public realm

    improvement works in Emily Square in Athy. This project will be used as a pilot

    project for future similar schemes. The Emily Square project will also be used as

    the initial project for the purposes of establishing the Framework Agreement.

    1. The closing date for receipt of queries concerning this stage of the

    competition is 06.08.2015 at 17.00 hrs (Irish time). All queries should be sent to

    2. Kildare County Council will not be responsible for any costs, charges or

    expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers in response to this competition.

    3. Establishment of the framework agreement will be subject to the approval of

    the competent authorities.

    4. If for any reason it is not possible to conclude the framework agreement with

    the successful tenderer designate emerging from this competitive process, or if

    having concluded the framework agreement Kildare County Council decides to

    terminate that agreement, the Council reserves the right to admit

    the next highest scoring tenderer to the framework agreement on the basis of

    the same terms and as tendered by that party, at any time during the tender

    validity period.

    5. At its absolute discretion, Kildare County Council may elect to terminate this

    procurement process or the concluded framework at any time.
