    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    CIE Tours carries approximately 30,000 tour passengers per annum with approximately 800 departures on Irish-based tours. Tours range in duration from 5 to 14 days and cover Ireland (North & South). CIE Tours is seeking submissions from economic operators who are interested in participating in this procurement process and who, if successful, would be appointed onto a Framework Agreement for a period of three (3) years from January 2016, with an option to extend for a further period of one year. The services required are divided into 2 Lots, as follows:

    Lot 1: Scheduled Tour Programme;

    Lot 2: Ad Hoc Group Tours.

    This is a non-mandatory notice as this procurement process falls outside the requirements of Directive 2004/17/EC. The process will be conducted largely in accordance with the negotiated procedure, but will avail of the non applicability of the requirement for a standstill period and the application of the Remedies Directive 2007.

    CIET is seeking submissions from economic operators who are interested in participating in this procurement process and who, if successful, would be appointed onto a Framework Agreement for a period of three (3) years from January 2016, with an option to extend for a further period of one year. The services required are divided into 2 Lots, as described below:

    Lot 1: Scheduled Tour Programme

    CIET requires the services of competent, innovative bus/coach service providers to provide passenger services for their Scheduled Tour Programme. Customers are principally English speaking overseas clients. Full details of the 2015 programme are available from the CIE Tours website http://www.cietours.com

    Lot 2: Ad Hoc Group Tours

    CIET is seeking suitably qualified bus/coach service providers to serve its customised group tour business. Tours are bespoke to the client’s requirements. Clients are mostly of North American English speaking origin.

    Full details of the requirements for both Lots will be outlined in the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) which will be issued to shortlisted participants.
