    Quantity or scope:

    An Post require website/s services including a new anpost.ie website powered by a modern, innovative and intuitive Content Management System (CMS) to replace our current CMS, with an integrated e-commerce platform.

    Requirements and volumes contained in this tender document are indicative only and An Post reserves the right to change in accordance with ongoing operational requirements, over the life of the framework.

    Please note that throughout the term of the Framework that services may be required by other departments of the An Post group including its subsidiaries and associated companies that have not been referred to specifically in this document.

    An Post‘s Group Technology Solutions department develops and maintains the majority of An Post‘s core payments, reconciliation and billing systems and the interfaces to third parties. An Post‘s internal systems are predominantly Microsoft Windows-based, built on the Dot Net framework or with a Dot Net interface. An Post GTS hosts a number of e-commerce websites and web services in its secure hosting facilities in Dublin, including the existing anpost.ie website and links to An Post‘s systems.

    LOT 1 An Post Web Requirements

    To include:

    (a) Content Management System

    • Provision of a Modern Content Management System

    • Design, development, implementation and on-going support & maintenance of anpost.ie and a number of sub-domains.

    • Provision of any necessary training to commission staff in using the CMS and in maintaining its information content.

    • Updating and adding functional or interactive elements.

    • Potential integration of a number of business applications, which may include a new presentation layer (calling back-end web services), or may include a redesign of the existing functionality thereby providing a more seamless user experience.

    • Assist in the re-writing and migration of content.

    • Ongoing assistance will be required with Search Engine Optimisation as well as driving and developing quality traffic to the website.

    (b) e-Commerce Platform

    • Provision of an e-commerce (Webshop) platform to support sales within the anpost.ie website and sub-domains, with the following key features:

    - Multi-channel, multi-store, multi-lingual (e.g. English & Gaelic)

    - SEO and online-marketing enabled

    - Promotions engine

    - Integration with a number of payment providers including PayPal and ability to integrate with An Post‘s internal Payments site and/or Payment web services.

    • Website design to provide a tailored User Interface and User Experience across a Desktop Browser, Mobile Phone, Tablet, etc.

    • Potential single-sign on to other functional areas within anpost.ie.

    • To provide an integrated facility for updating content (images, text, videos) on the anpost.ie CMS.

    • Possible migration of some existing shops – e.g. www.irishstamps.ie and webshop.postfone.ie into the new platform.
