Enniscorthy Flood Defence Scheme, Ground Investigations Contract

Mott MacDonald Ireland Limited has been appointed by Wexford County Council as lead consultant for the Enniscorthy Flood Defence Scheme. As part of the detailed design process Mott MacDonald Ireland are inviting tenders for the ground investigations contract. The investigation works to be undertaken for this contract comprise of a ground investigation which includes boreholes (cable percussion with follow on rotary coring in some exploratory locations) and in-situ testing piezo cone penetrometer testing, trial pits, slit trenching, grab sampling, pavement coring, geophysical testing, piezometer installation and in-situ testing . Following on from the ground investigations, laboratory testing will be conducted in order to obtain and report on the required geotechnical and hydrogeological information that is required to allow the detailed design of the various elements of the Enniscorthy Flood Defence Scheme.
