Dublin City Council on behalf of the Dublin Region Water Authorities (Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, South Dublin County Council, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Kildare County Council, Wicklow County Council, Bray Town Council) wishes to engage a competent and suitably experienced Contractor to undertake Site Investigations for the Dublin Region Watermains Rehabilitation Project (DRWRP). The principal aim of the DRWRP is to conserve water by identifying and undertaking works in those areas of the network which will yield the maximum reduction in leakage in the most cost effective manner within the overall agreed project timescales and budget. As part of the DRWRP, site investigations are required at a number of identified locations throughout the Dublin Region predominately in heaviliy trafficked areas in Fingal and Dublin City Centre. The investigations are required to provide information relating to the sub-surface conditions of the areas of interest and to locate the line, level, material and diameter of underground services to identify replacement pipeline routes and construction techniques. The scope of the works envisaged under this Site Investigation Contract is as follows:- utility and service location and route identification, slit trenches, cable percussive boreholes, rotary boreholes, GPR survey, soils analysis and topographical survey.
