LA2406C - Irish Manufacturing Research RFT for the Supply, Delivery, Installation & Calibration of a Cutting Tool Optimisation Kit

Irish Manufacturing Research has requested the supply of a Cutting Tool Optimisation Kit, which is made up of harmonic tap testing capabilities combined with cutting tool feeds and speed optimisation software, is being procured for use as a demonstration capability for companies to explore the technology where it is not readily available to industry and conduct research into methods to optimise manufacturing processes. There can also be a large amount of replication of the learnings across the sectors which would be reduced by using an independent test bed. It is envisaged that individual or multiple companies would combine to use this technology to address a number of challenges across their sector. The technology will be accessed by companies looking to explore advanced cutting tool optimisation technologies. It should also be noted that learnings from this technology can also be adopted by other manufacturing sectors e.g., machine tool builders, OEM’s etc for equipment installation and validation purposes and all can avail of and benefit from the technology. The system consists of a Tap testing Kit and cutting tool optimisation software.
