Kishoge Railway Station was originally constructed as part of the Kildare Route Project, but has been used nor maintained since construction completion over 10 years ago. As series of ongoing works is now required to facilitate commissioning and bringing this station into service in November 2023. These works relate to the façade works required only. The existing station building cladding is glazing rainscreen protected by a protective metal sheeting with the glazed rainscreen is subject to ongoing vandalism damage. IE require a contractor to: • Design and instal a façade cladding system to replace the existing protective metal sheeting (approx. 350m²) with tensioned wire mesh on the internal and external elevations of the existing glazed rainscreen with high level louvers • Provide weather protection canopies for a number of locations The aim is to provide an attractive and robust system for the glazing, improved weather protection and allow the station building to be naturally lit. The accompanying background information document illustrates the extent of these works with as built drawings and proposed drawings / photos of the new façade system etc.
