The proposed Muff to Quigley's Point Greenway forms part of the INTERREG VA funded North West Greenway Network Project (www.nwgreenway.com), administered by the Special EU Programmes Body. The greenway shall extend northwards from the terminus of the Muff-Derry Greenway adjacent to the Muff Community Play Park for approximately 5km to the Sea Wall at Three Trees near Quigley's Point. The proposed works will provide dedicated walking and cycling route adjacent to and segregated from the R238 highway, facilitating modal shift to the benefit of the environment through carbon offsetting. Following the route selection process, a developed sketch scheme design was developed in house by Donegal County Council for the route and the project achieved part 8 planning approval at the May 2022 Plenary Council Meeting. The Northwest Greenways' Project Team now require the services of a suitably qualified Consultant Engineer to further develop this preliminary design into a detailed design and develop a full tender package for the project. Thereafter the Consultant shall be required to assist with the Integrated Supply Team (construction works contract) procurement process, provide supervisory and contract administration services during the construction stage and oversee the close out and handover of the project.
