University of Limerick, Bernal Institute, request the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a tensile testing stage for use in a material characterisation research lab. The principal purpose of the instrument is to enable in-situ scanning electron microscope observation of a tensile test at a range of temperatures. The stage must be capable of reaching 600°C and must facilitate in-situ electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) measurement to characterise crystal orientation of metallic materials. The instrument must be compatible with the sample stage and chamber of a Thermo Scientific Helios G4 CX dual beam FIB-SEM instrument in its current configuration in the Bernal Institute.
