UCC-2019-15 - RFID Tags and Station Rental

UCC Library plans to self-apply Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags to all of its stock in circulation. The aim of the project is to provide enhanced self-service circulation, security and collection management solutions. In order to do so we need to purchase RFID tags and rent mobile staff tagging stations. We require 340,000 RFID tags for books and 7,000 RFID tags for CD/DVDS in 2019. Rental of a minimum of 6 and up to a maximum of 8 mobile staff tagging stations for up to 8 weeks approximately, during June and July 2019. Each mobile tagging station should include all necessary equipment to allow UCC library staff to tag existing book stock directly at the shelves, e.g. trolleys, barcode scanners, RFID pads and readers, tag dispensers, batteries, software, laptops etc.
