CORU wish to procure the provision of AT and APC tests, as detailed below, from providers of approved programmes for delivery in Ireland. Such a provider will already provide programmes of education in physiotherapy which have been approved by the Registration Board for current access to the profession and which incorporate assessment methods designed to meet the current standards of proficiency for physiotherapists in Ireland. a. aptitude tests (ATs) to applicants with qualifications awarded outside the State which do not meet the required standards and who have compensation measures identified (under S.I. No 8 of 2017), and b. assessments of professional competence (AoPC) to applicants who apply under section 91 of the Act (grandparenting) and do not possess qualifications deemed equivalent to those in Schedule 3 of the Act.
