Description of the procurement

NATIONAL NETWORK LOCAL CONNECTIONS PROGRAMME BEAT THE PEAK COMMERCIAL – DAILY
The purpose of Beat The Peak Commercial Daily is to allow the Contracting Entity facilitate reducing peak demand throughout spring and summer 2023 in Ireland. ESB Networks DAC, is committed to playing its part in closing the peak gap and has identified a range of initiatives to achieve that, one of which is Beat The Peak Commercial Daily. Please note this programme is a pilot.
The Contracting Entity is seeking contracted demand down services for BTPCD Events by Service Assets, through Service Providers with respect to daily electricity demand between 16:30hrs to 21:00hrs on Business Days in Ireland, commencing in Q2 2023 until 30 September 2023.
ESB Networks will host a series of information webinars on Beat the Peak Commercial Daily. Webinar dates will be posted in the messaging function for RFT no. 238972 and on www.esbnetworks.ie/daily

Applicants will need to register as a Supplier in the eTenders system in order to respond to this qualification process . Supplier registration is free of charge. A company can only be registered once in the eTenders system. Any queries about the eTenders registration process should be sent to etenders@eu-supply.com. The Qualification System Questionnaire (QSQ) constitutes an integral part of ESB’s procurement process for Beat the Peak Commercial Daily. Applicants will be given the opportunity to be awarded contracts for these services, should they successfully progress through the qualification process. The purpose of the Questionnaire is to identify suitable Applicants who meet the Contracting Entities qualifying requirements to provide demand down services. In order to apply for inclusion on the qualification system, applicants must complete and return a QSQ response through the eTenders system.
