EirGrid Group has catering services in the Oval, Block 2.
At the Oval there is a dedicated kitchen space and staff restaurant on the 4th floor which provides catering services to EirGrid staff between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday- Friday and kitchenettes on each floor and at each premises which are to be managed (stocked and cleaned) by the supplier. The restaurant currently offers hot & cold fresh food as a free issue service with a main food counter, wok station, salad bar, snack selection, deli bar and bean-to-cup coffee. Hospitality is mostly sandwich working lunches, buffets and teas and coffees. There is also an occasional requirement for high quality banqueting-style service which is chargeable to authorised users.

There is also a requirement to stock staff pantry areas on individual floors with tea bags, instant coffee granules and related consumables. There are also a small number of vending machines on site which meet 24/7 operating requirements which are predominantly stocked with drinks & snacks.
Additionally, the contract to be awarded for the Services (the “Contract”) covers hospitality for meetings and events at the Oval and this can be extended to the local sites of Oval block 3 which are neighbouring buildings to the Oval, Block 2. All food should be freshly prepared and have a focus on using local suppliers, fair trade and sustainable sources.
It is crucial to maintain a strong customer focus, continuous innovation in the delivery of quality services and maximise the use of technology in the delivery of services. It requires the best performance from EirGrid as well as its suppliers to maximise these benefits.
The contract is for an initial duration of 3 years (potentially 8 with extensions)
EirGrid envisages qualifying up to 3 candidates from this pre-qualification process, subject to the quality of responses received.

Review procedure

Precise information on deadline(s) for review procedures: 
The contracting authority will not conclude this contract to which a standstill period applies in accordance with Council Directive 2014/25/EU, until after the expiry of the standstill period which commences on the day following the date of notification on concerned candidates and tenderers. The duration of the standstill period will be 14 calendar days where notifications are sent electronically or by fax and 16 calendar days where these are sent by any other means. The Statutory Instrument mentioned above provides that review procedures are available in the High Court to a person who has or has had an interest in obtaining the reviewable public contract and alleges that he or she has been harmed or is at risk of being harmed by an infringement of the law in relation in this contract.
