The Minister for Public Expenditure & Reform (the “Contracting Authority”) is issuing this request for tenders (“RFT”) as a central purchasing body for use by the Framework Clients. A national framework for the provision of Legal Services to Universities (including the newly established national Technological Universities) that will cover legal service requirements ranging from routine type services that are transactional in nature, to standard operational type services, and high level strategic advices which may be of sectoral importance. The framework agreement will be divided into 6 lots. The Contracting Authority reserves the right, at its discretion, to extend the Term for a period or periods of up to 12 months with a maximum of two (2) such extension(s) on the same terms and conditions, subject to the Contracting Authority’s obligations at law. The Term will not exceed four (4) years in aggregate. Service Contracts awarded within the lifetime of the Framework Agreement may themselves exceed the expiry of the Framework Agreement.
