Short description

The University of Galway Library tender for an agreement with a service provider for the provision, implementation, maintenance, and support of a repository system to publish the output of research activity. The new system will replace the current system Access to Research at University of Galway (ARAN) system. ARAN publishes research publications as open access for University of Galway. The new system and service will treat University of Galway research output in a procedurally agnostic fashion, i.e., allowing researchers to deposit research publications, data, and other research output. The new open access repository MUST be operational by 31 August 2023. Also, the University’s research information system is under review and will change or be upgraded during 2023 and 2024. This tender document includes costs to integrate with the current and potential new research information systems. The research information system can provide data as an input to the new open access repository.
