Short description

The Contracting Authority intends to award a contract for the provision of a solution for a Disaster Recovery System which will ensure zero downtime for the Beaumont Hospital’s PAC/RIS systems in the event of loss of access to the National PACS, NIMIS. It is proposed to implement a ‘mirrored’ PACS system. This system will sit between Beaumont’s imaging modalities (x-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.) and the NIMIS system – it will essentially hold a copy of all images and reports that pass through it. These copies will be held on the internal IT infrastructure at Beaumont Hospital and will always be immediately accessible if the national PACS repository cannot be reached.
