The Goods Contract is for the supply and delivery of Identifiable Inert Training Weapons in accordance with the requirements in this Appendix 1.A and the Technical specifications as set out at Appendix 1.B.
The contract will be for the supply of both:
• An initial basket of goods as specified in appendix 1B and listed in Appendix 2 of this RFT.
• Similar specification Identifiable Inert Weapons as required during the term of the contract plus any extensions.
Tenderers should note that the goods contract will be awarded for a specific maximum value of €250,000 (excl VAT).

Description of the procurement

The Goods Contract is for the supply and delivery of Identifiable Inert Training Weapons in accordance with the requirements in this Appendix 1.A and the Technical specifications as set out at Appendix 1.B.
The contract will be for the supply of both:
• An initial basket of goods as specified in appendix 1B and listed in Appendix 2 of this RFT.
• Similar specification Identifiable Inert Weapons as required during the term of the contract plus any extensions.
Tenderers should note that the goods contract will be awarded for a specific maximum value of €250,000 (excl VAT). The total criterion will be assessed on a ‘basket of goods’ and notwithstanding any quantities stated by the Contracting Authority, the Supplier shall supply the quantities actually ordered during the term of this contract to meet the requirements of the Irish Defence Forces at the prices stated in their tender.
By way of agreement between the Contracting Authority and the appointed supplier, the Contracting Authority may during the Term of the Goods Contracts require additional Identifiable Inert Weapons to those listed or those contained in the agreed catalogue of Inert training Weapons as supplied by the supplier. The cost(s) of any such additional Goods shall be agreed between the Contracting Authority and the appointed supplier and will be added to the supplier’s catalogue for the remainder of the contract.
