Description of the procurement

AN POST operates two automated sorting systems for e-commerce parcels and postal packets currently, both of which are installed at the Dublin Mail & Parcel Campus. These systems both sort to ~140 destinations, comprising of 120 delivery depots, customs extractions and special handling outlets.
As part of our operating model transformation programme, we are seeking to install additional processing capacity for these product streams, while also increasing the sort depth achieved with one-pass processing to route level.
AN POST are seeking proposals for a new automated sorting system to be installed in a greenfield site, the size and design of which will be driven by the layout of the Successful Tenderer’s equipment layout. AN POST has currently short-listed potential sites and developer partners for the new facility.
