Description of the procurement
The objective of this RFT is to invite proposals from suitably qualified service providers for the provision of field marketing and event management services to support SEAI’s Community Based Social Marketing (CBSM) activities to drive demand for home energy upgrades and to make it easier and more attractive for homeowners to upgrade their homes and to apply for home energy upgrade grants from SEAI. While education and advertising can be effective in creating public awareness and in changing attitudes, numerous studies show that behaviour change rarely occurs as a result of simply providing information.
CBSM is based upon research in the social sciences which demonstrates that behaviour change is most effectively achieved through initiatives delivered at the community level which focus on removing barriers to an activity while simultaneously enhancing the activities benefit.
CBSM has been identified as an important element of the demand generation home energy upgrade campaign in achieving the Government’s Climate Action Plan target of upgrading 500,000 homes to a BER rating of B2 or better by 2030.
