Short description

The scope of the project is an extension and refurbishment of the existing NW Hospice which is currently located at level 03 of the existing hospital. The extension to the existing hospice would create a new 12 bedded in patient unit with all support facilities. Refurbishment of existing areas to provide day care and outpatient facilities. New facility should be fully compliant with modern HBN standards and infection Control Standards. The existing Hospice is located within the 1940’s building of the existing hospital which is a protected structure.
The site is sloping bordered by Connaughton Road on the Western boundary and the main hospital to the east. The main Laboratories for the hospital are directly above the existing Hospice on Level 04 and the Haematology and Dialysis’ Departments are in close proximity to the selected site.
