Short description

The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) was set up to improve the delivery of education services to persons with special educational needs (SEN). The NCSE is a statutory body. The aim of the NCSE is to support an inclusive education system that enables students and adults with special educational needs to achieve their potential.
The NCSE have a remit to co-ordinate student access to special classes and special schools places. This requires that students have professional reports to access these school places. The recent significant increase of students speaking Ukrainian/Russian requires the NCSE procure a dedicated translation service for documents, with a current focus on translation from Ukrainian or Russian into English
