TU Dublin is seeking an academic integrity software solution. Over the past number of years TU Dublin has been making use of a similarity detection solution. The university is now seeking a software solution which includes similarity detection as well as checks for other possible breaches of academic integrity. The solution provided should compare submitted text-based files with an extensive range of sources including but not limited to public web, subscription-based sources, open-source materials and other students work. In addition, it should be able to assess and compare submissions from the student’s own work to determine source and similarity of phrasing. Students and staff should be able to use the solution to identify similarities, differences, and common elements clearly and quickly between submissions.

Description of the procurement

TU Dublin is seeking an academic integrity software solution. Over the past number of years TU Dublin has been making use of a similarity detection solution. As part of TU Dublin's overall protection of Academic Integrity, it is seeking proposals for detection systems/IT Solutions which can be used in association with the Universities VLEs and in conjunction with its university policies and procedures. This detection system should also include an ability to collect evidence based on raised suspicions. Evidence such as
• Textual and electronic evidence
• Knowledge of the academic and linguistic abilities
• Comparison to previous work
