Failte Ireland is notifying the marketplace in advance of conducting a tender process within the next 2-3 weeks, for the Digital that Delivers programme. We will be seeking a supplier that specialises in digital strategy & programme management, with experience in the tourism sector, to project manage the delivery of the Digital that Delivers programme with Irish Visitor experiences. Digital that Delivers is a support programme that powers online excellence for tourism businesses. This programme will help increase their online presence, better adopt digital technologies, operate more efficiently, make data-led decisions and drive increased sales via connected distribution channels.

Description of the procurement

Failte Ireland is notifying the marketplace in advance of conducting a tender process within the next 2-3 weeks, for the Digital that Delivers programme. We will be seeking a supplier that specialises in digital strategy & programme management, with experience in the tourism sector, to project manage the delivery of the Digital that Delivers programme with Irish Visitor experiences. Digital that Delivers is a support programme that powers online excellence for tourism businesses. This programme will help increase their online presence, better adopt digital technologies, operate more efficiently, make data-led decisions and drive increased sales via connected distribution channels. This upcoming tender will be to appoint a supplier that specialises in digital strategy & programme management with experience in the tourism sector to:
o Project manage the delivery of the Digital that Delivers programme with future intakes of Irish visitor experiences (attractions, day tours & activity providers), starting after 1st January 2023.
Some of the work that will be required from the successful supplier will be to:
o Deliver activities and work programmes as outlined in the Digital that Delivers programme and also support evaluation of the programme.
o Identify innovative solutions to enhance and streamline delivery of the programme and scale up participant engagement year on year to drive economies of scale (cost and operational)
o Provide technical diagnostic support to Irish visitor experiences whilst working directly with them to gather their requirements and progress them through the programme.
The procured supplier must have:
• Managed and evaluated projects of a similar scale & budget
• Experience of developing bookable visitor experiences
• Knowledge of the tourism marketplace including digital channels and distribution systems
• In depth understanding of consumer path to purchase, trends, and insights
• Experience with tourism point of sale / ticketing technology solutions
• Experience in delivering/optimising website platforms/digital marketing solutions for tourism experiences
