Short description
The proposed works contract involves the construction of a new 200m long Deep Water Quay Development located adjacent to the existing Ros an Mhíl Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Galway, Ireland.
The Works include but are not limited to site clearance, excavations, infilling, quay wall construction, quay deck surfacing, service installations such as drainage, power, fuel and lighting, fencing and boundary works and all other associated civil engineering, mechanical and electrical works.
The Works shall be enabled by the completion of a separate and preceding contract for drill, blast and dredging of approximately 25,000m³ - 35,000m³ of rock. The separate and preceding contract shall see the completion of dredging in the navigation channel/berthing pocket and follow-on recovery of the blasted materials for re-use, by the successful Tenderer under this contract, as recoverable infill materials for the reclamation works behind the new quay wall.

Description of the procurement
The proposed works contract involves the construction of a new 200m long Deep Water Quay Development located adjacent to the existing Ros an Mhíl Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Galway, Ireland.
The Works under this contract shall entail the main civils work in construction of a new 200m long Quay and associated facilities to accommodate the future mooring and operation of fishing vessels.
The Works include but are not limited to site clearance, excavations, infilling, quay wall construction, quay deck surfacing, service installations such as drainage, power, fuel and lighting, fencing and boundary works and all other associated civil engineering, mechanical and electrical works.
The Works shall be enabled by the completion of a separate and preceding contract for drill, blast and dredging of approximately 25,000m³ - 35,000m³ of rock.
