Short description

Waterways Ireland have a requirement to use more environmentally friendly fuel options, specifically Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel across our plant and vehicles initially for equipment utilised on the Barrow Navigation and Grand Canal Barrow Line.
HVO is a fuel which acts as an alternative for diesel with significant carbon emissions savings. Waterways Ireland is inviting suppliers to tender for inclusion in a framework for the supply of HVO fuel. The fuel must be of a high quality and conform to EN 15940 standard. The fuel should be certified to ISCC (Internal Sustainability and Carbon Certification) standards.
Initial Volumes Required
For our requirement on Barrow Navigation and Grand Barrow we anticipate demand volumes for the following 12 months as follows:
• 100,000 L of marked HVO
• 30,000 L unmarked HVO
Please note that Waterways Ireland cannot provide guaranteed volumes.
