This contract is for the North-West Region of Ireland (Region 3) which includes 7 local authorities for which Mayo County Council is the lead Authority.
This scope allows for the condition survey of approx 74,000 public streetlights.
Approx 45,000 streetlights are required to be retrofitted, including approx 2,400 decorative street lights, with energy efficient street lighting luminaires. Full details are available in the RFT documents.

Description of the procurement

This contract is for the North-West Region of Ireland (Region 3) which includes 7 local authorities for which Mayo County Council is the lead Authority for the region.
This region contains approximately 45,000 public streetlights, approximately 2,400 of which are Decorative Street Lights. The 45,000 streetlights are required to be retrofitted with energy efficient street lighting luminaires, the scope also includes:
• Initial inspection of approximately 74,000 luminaires;
• Asset Condition Survey for new and existing LED;
• Design, Supply, Installation and Testing of LED retrofit, for luminaires mounted on LA columns (75% approx) and ESB columns (25% approx);
• Safe disposal and recycling of redundant lanterns and redundant ancillary supports and electrical equipment/wiring;
• Replacement of defective non ESBN columns in each LA (5%); (Allow 10% of this 5% to be decorative columns, ie 0.5% of total non ESB columns).
• Replacement of defective column doors in each LA (15%); (Allow 10% of this 15% to be decorative column doors, ie 1.5% of total non ESB column doors).
• Replacement of defective brackets in each LA (33%); (Allow 10% of this 33% to be decorative brackets, ie 3.3% of total non ESB column brackets).
• Addition of new mini pillars (2.5%) and replacement of existing micro pillars (5%);
• Addition of ESB Cut Outs (10%);
• Replacement of decorative streetlights
• Electrical and Circuitry works;
• Associated Civil works;
• Traffic Management;
• A Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) / Project Supervisor Construction Stage
