Description of the procurement

Rosslare Europort is a seaport located near Rosslare, in Co. Wexford. It handles passenger and freight ferries. It is equipped with a ferry terminal and storage facilities. An accelerated restricted procedure due to urgency in meeting compliance with the Union Customs Code (UCC) within Rosslare Europort, is required to ensure these services are in place as soon as possible.

Justification:  
The emergency work to develop Rosslare Europort has already commenced. With the publication of the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill by the UK Government on the 13th July, the necessity for an accelerated approach to the Rosslare Europort project is now critical. The procuring and placing of this particular contract is a critical component in advancing this development programme. Accordingly, an accelerated restricted procedure due to urgency in meeting compliance with the Union Customs Code (UCC) within Rosslare Europort, is required to ensure these services are in place as soon as possible.
