Limerick City and County Council acting as a purchasing body is setting up a multiparty Framework Agreement for the provision of Environmental Consultancy Services in relation to Ecological Surveys ("the Framework Agreement") in relation to the development of Major National Road Schemes (Capital Cost >€20m) in which the Council is involved within the City and County of Limerick.
It is the intention that the Contracting Authority will procure mini-competitions (Call-off Contracts)’ from this Environmental Consultancy Services Framework for Ecological Surveys. Detailed service requirements will be set out as part of each mini-competition for each of the individual Ecological Survey Contracts.

Description of the procurement

Limerick City and County Council acting as a purchasing body is setting up a multiparty Framework Agreement for the provision of Environmental Consultancy Services in relation to Ecological Surveys ("the Framework Agreement") in relation to the development of Major National Road Schemes (Capital Cost >€20m) in which the Council is involved within the City and County of Limerick.

The scope of the Ecological Survey Works Contract may include part or all of the following elements, with the specific requirements being provided within each Call-Off Contract: Bat surveys of trees identified as having bat roost potential; Badger surveys; Checks for breeding birds during vegetation clearance; Otter Holt Surveys; Invasive Species Surveys; Supervision of Badger Sett Exclusion and Sett destruction; Report writing, Application of derogation licences to NPWS; cooperation with the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS). Refer to Appendix 3: Indicative Services of Framework Agreement in the Instruction to Tenderers.
