Short description
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine requires the services of a consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare the Detailed Design, Tender Action, Evaluation & Award, Construction and Handover of Works Stages for the Deep Water Quay Development Project at Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. In addition, a vessel approach corridor of approximately 600m length and a vessel turning circle of 150m diameter will be dredged to a depth of -7m m Chart Datum. Description of the procurement
Galway.
The new Quay will provide 200m of outside berthing frontage which, along with associated dredging works, will make Rossaveel Harbour a viable location for increased fish landings, particularly by larger Irish and foreign vessels. To facilitate berthing by these vessels, a 30m wide x 200m long pocket, directly adjacent to the quay, will be dredged to a depth of -10m Chart Datum. In addition, a vessel approach corridor of approximately 600m length and a vessel turning circle of 150m diameter will be dredged to a depth of -7m m Chart Datum. The material that is required to be dredged will be predominantly rock. A reclamation area will also be constructed directly behind the quay which will link to the existing onshore components of Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre.
