The Corps of Engineers Irish Defence Forces requires the supply of four small multipurpose workboats (approximately 5.0m in length by approximately 2.5m in width) complete with 60hp outboard engine and road trailer, for conducting operational taskings in rivers, lakes and estuaries (calm waters). The boats will be moved / relocated by road on a regular basis using a 4WD vehicle with a NATO approved 76mm towing eye. Launching sites may not always have a concrete slipway, therefore the trailer and boat package should be easy to launch and retrieve under various conditions (e.g. gravel, beach, field access, sloping clay banks etc.). The boat should accommodate up to 10 people seated.

Description of the procurement

Stability is a key issue for conducting operations therefore the boat should be of a flat or small twin V type hull design with a shallow draft. The boat must be easy to handle, with a high level of stability providing a spacious and safe working platform and comply with Marine Survey Office (MSO) passenger licence P2.
