Short description

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine seeks the delivery of an eLearning Induction training package for staff. The Induction training suite is intended to equip both new and existing staff with knowledge and skills to enable them to successfully embed into our organisation. It's expected, where appropriate, the transfer of learning can be tested on completion of modules. The learning content will be made available as a learning resource for DAFM staff on the OneLearning DAFM sub domain LMS.
We envisage this phase of our digital learning to be provided by an external market operator to be procured in accordance with public sector rules in due course. DAFM wishes to take preliminary market soundings to identify market capabilities to address our digital training needs. The purpose of this RFI is to develop a deeper understanding of the digital learning market prior to launching a formal procurement.

Description of the procurement

Following an extensive consultation with staff and senior management, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine seeks the delivery of an eLearning Induction training package for its staff. DAFM intends to go to the market in regard to procuring a suite of quality, interactive and relevant digital learning solutions. The Induction training suite is intended to equip both new and existing staff with the knowledge and skills required to enable them to successfully embed into our organisation. It is expected, where appropriate, that the transfer of learning can be tested on completion of modules. The learning content will be made available as a learning resource for DAFM staff on the OneLearning DAFM sub domain Learning Management System.
This suite would be expected to include a range of digital learning modules from which DAFM can select and this may include the following (and related) topics:
• Information Security Awareness
• Introduction to the Civil Service
• DAFM Strategy – Mission, Organisation Structure, Operations
• Health and Safety in DAFM.
• Human Resources Function in DAFM
• Resilience and Wellbeing
• Equality and Diversity
• Ethics.
It is envisaged that this phase of our digital learning will be provided by an external market operator to be procured in accordance with public sector rules. DAFM intends to run a competitive procurement process in due course.
As part of this process, DAFM wishes to take preliminary market soundings to identify market capabilities, for addressing the digital training needs of our organisation. The purpose of this RFI is to assist us in developing a deeper understanding of the digital learning market, prior to the launching of a formal procurement process.
