Short description

The Department of Foreign Affairs is responsible for issuing all Irish passports under the Passports Act 2008 and all Foreign Birth Registration certificates under the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956, via the Irish Passport Service.
The provision of a Facial Recognition System is central to the integrity of the Irish passport and foreign birth registration application processes and the delivery of the vision of the Passport Service operations.
In summary, the Contracting Authority requires :
- A fully integrated, on premise Solution for executing facial matching of images received with Passport and FBR applications.
- The provision of services for the System (the “Services”) including but not limited to implementation, support and maintenance services for the System.
